Recently, there has been a buzz regarding breast enlargement by drinking copious amounts of milk. Does this method work? To find out, first you must understand what breast tissue is and how it forms.
Breasts are made primarily of fatty tissue. Aside from fat, breasts also contain connective tissue and milk ducts. Because breasts are primarily fatty tissue, those individuals who are very slim or even underweight will have smaller breasts than someone who has a little excess body fat. Often times, when an individual gains or loses weight, the first place it is noticed is in the breast area.
What Determines a Woman's Breast Size?
Whereas body fat percentage plays a large role in breast size, heredity and genetics can play an even bigger role. Chances are, if a woman has ancestors who had large breasts, she will have them also. This can usually be seen when a female begins to go through puberty. When a female begins to go through puberty, her body produces increased levels of the hormone 'estrogen'. Estrogen is the female hormone responsible for the development and maturity of sexual organs, including breasts.
Does Milk Help Increase Breast Size?
There are many misconceptions that the protein in cow's milk will help to increase breast size. This is simply not true. Breast tissue contains no protein, so consuming excess protein will have no effect on their size.
Because estrogen has a huge impact on the size of breasts, soy milk would be the better choice. Although there are no actual clinical trials to test the efficacy of soy milk on breast tissue enhancement, it is widely known in the natural food world that soy products contain estrogen-mimicking compounds known as 'phytoestrogens'. These phytoestrogens include 'genistein', which is a medicinal is of lavone. The U.S. National Institute of Health states that because of these compounds, a diet high in soy milk or soy products may be beneficial in enhancing breast size.
There is no recommended daily intake amount of soy milk to produce larger breasts. There are several reports of individuals having success with using it in place of regular milk in their cereal and coffee, plus drinking an additional 3 or 4 cups per day. The best way to tell if you are consuming a sufficient amount of soy milk is to measure your bust before incorporating soy into your diet, and continue to measure weekly to see if the size has increased. If no increase is noticed after 1 month, you may want to increase the amount of soy milk you are consuming.
The Benefits of Using Soy Milk for Breast Enhancement
When compared to the many various ways of enhancing breast growth, consuming soy milk is relatively inexpensive. Surgical procedures such as breast augmentation can cost thousands of dollars and are risky because of the possibility of infection. Fat transplant injections remove small amounts of fat from troublesome areas and is then injected into the breast tissue. This added fat can later calcify and have to be surgically removed. Because soy milk mimics a substance that is naturally produced by the body, there are no dangerous side effects.
