Many women are concerned because the breasts naturally increase during pregnancy period. If you have implant, you can expect this too as it is a hormonal thing happening in your body. While it is not recommended for most women to get breast implants during pregnancy, there are a number of women who already have implants when they find out they are pregnant.

The breast augmentations can affect the woman's ability to breast feed and may cause pain and discomfort during pregnancy, as the breast tend to grow substantially when a woman is expecting a baby.

Breastfeeding
Women who have breast implant very likely have had an incision made around the nipples, which can cause some nerve damage that can affect breastfeeding. This may slow down milk production, as the incision is also made near the milk ducts. However, there are ways that breast implants can be inserted into the body in a way that will not affect breastfeeding at all. So, if a woman wants to have breast augmentation surgery, it is important that she talk with her doctor about her desire to become pregnant so the operation will be performed in a way that won't affect her ability to breastfeed.

Breast Size
Most women experience significant breast growth during pregnancy, particularly during the second and third trimesters. While this will not affect the implant itself, the stretching and expanding of the breast tissue may mean that the woman will have to have additional breast surgeries after the baby is born. Women who want to get breast implants or already have implants should be aware that a breast lift or additional augmentation may be necessary after pregnancy, depending on how the breasts grow and are shaped after the baby is born.

Implant and Past Pregnancy Problems

If you have already had children and are considering enlargement of any kind, it is advised that you wait at least 6 months after giving birth to your child, or until 6 months after you have stopped the feeding of your baby; whichever occurs the latest.
It's important for women with implants to check with their doctors often to monitor their overall growth and development during pregnancy. This will help to determine whether the implants are causing complication; in many cases, however, breast augmentation will not negatively affect a woman's pregnancy. Have confidence in your breast and your doctor and you can look forward to a pregnancy and a body that bounces back to its' previous appearance quickly.
